Our Commitment to Sustainability

Materials & Sustainability

At Pola Jewellery, we believe beauty should never come at the planet’s expense. Every piece we create is rooted in a commitment to ethical practices, responsible sourcing, and lasting craftsmanship.

Recycled Materials & Lab-Grown Diamonds
We use 90% recycled metals in the creation of our jewellery, helping to reduce environmental impact without compromising on quality or beauty. Our lab-grown diamonds are selected for their exceptional clarity and brilliance, and each one is IGI-certified and sourced in alignment with the Responsible Jewellery Council. We are proudly committed to using only non-conflict diamonds.

Local Craftsmanship
While our studio is based in Mallorca, all of our jewellery is handcrafted in Barcelona, Spain. We collaborate with a small workshop and local gold platers located just 20 minutes away by bike—ensuring a transparent, human-centered production process. All of our silver and solid gold chains are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), guaranteeing ethical and responsible sourcing.

Pre-Loved Vintage
Our Vintage Collection is a celebration of the past, reclaimed for the present. Pola personally sources one-of-a-kind, pre-loved pieces from antique shops and flea markets around the world, giving them new life within a fresh, contemporary concept. By reinventing instead of remanufacturing, we preserve their history while reducing the environmental footprint of producing something entirely new.

Responsible Plating
Our gold and silver plating is done locally in Barcelona under strict environmental standards. Only recycled metals are used, and the plating process is designed to be as low-impact as possible—water is reused multiple times and thoroughly filtered before being safely discarded, free of harmful chemicals.

Plastic-Free Packaging
Each Pola Jewellery piece is placed in a plastic-free box designed to protect your jewellery while minimizing environmental impact. Our packaging is made from FSC®-certified materials, meaning it comes from responsibly managed forests where no more wood is harvested than the forest can regenerate.
